italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies UCL Italian Department welcomes enquiries from prospective doctoral students in Italian Studies for next year, 2015-16. We offer supervision across a range of specialisms including: medieval, renaissance, modern and contemporary literature; Italian history, especially post-Risorgimento; cultural studies; comparative literature; linguistics. Postgraduate funding opportunities at UCL include: AHRC scholarships, assigned through the London Arts and Humanities Consortium, partnering UCL, KCL and the School for Advanced Studies, in which UCL has the sole dedicated Department of Italian Studies; Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships in the Humanities; UCL Graduate and Overseas Scholarships. All three of these funding competitions have closing dates in mid or late January 2015. Candidates interested in applying for funding via these competitions are therefore recommended to contact the Department as soon as possible, either by writing to the relevant departmental specialist directly, or for preliminary enquiries, to the Head of Department, Dr Catherine Keen. In addition, please note that although the advertised final closing date for Wolfson Scholarships is 30 January at Faculty Level, Department submissions close on 16 January.
