Gendered Others (Roundtable)

Organizers: Culture and Politics of Gender Research Group (Paola Bonifazio, Clarissa Clò, Nicoletta Marini-Maio and Ellen Nerenberg)

This roundtable intends to explore how divergent ideas, practices, and performances of gendered others have developed in peripheral spaces and across historical periods in Italy: in literary and non-fictional texts, cinema, theater, television, visual culture, cultural events and gatherings, social media, and other practices and forms of cultural production. Each participant will present short, 5-minute positioning remarks followed by a general discussion open to all.

The roundtable will be an opportunity to discuss the call for submissions for the third number of gendersexualityitaly.com (g/s/i).
