Hi,
We have an interesting structure located at the Astbury
Limeworks and quarry which is reputedly a beehive powder magazine dating from
the eighteenth century.
I’m wondering if someone knew anything about these structures
and could confirm the interpretation. I’m also interested to know how rare
surviving examples of these structures are.
Thanks and best wishes
Rob
