_Definitions and Ideas_
Four Talks will be presented that will incorporate one of the following
4 themes.
Confirmed Speakers are: Tim Hubbard (GEL), GRIDPP (TBA), STFC SCD (TBA).
1030 - Data Movement
1050 - Data Compression
1120 - Accessing Sections of Data
1140 - Meta Data - Creation, Storage and Query
Capturing end "user" needs
1200 - 4 streams on the above topics. There are multiple users to
consider - academic and systems folk
1300 - Lunch
1400 - The RCUK view (Fiona Armstrong, ESRC & RCUK)
_Imagining the Infrastructure_
1430 - 4 Streams - ideas for infrastructure, what can we do in common,
what must we do that is domain specific?
1530 - Tea
1600 - Reports from the 4 streams
1630 - Drawing it together and agreeing suggestions for our writing-up
workshop on 15 December
1700 - Close
