Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) will be holding its 2015 conference in Oslo, Norway (http://www.cvent.com/d/14qtzj?RefID=HTAi+2015). The Information Resources Group (IRG) is one of the interest sub-groups of HTAi and will be submitting a proposal for a full-day pre-conference workshop on Sunday, June 14th. The overall theme for the conference is: Global Efforts in Knowledge Transfer: HTA to Health Policy and Practice. In addition to the main theme, three sub-themes are examined:

1) Knowledge in the 21st century: what, when and how?;

2) Using the knowledge: needs of decision makers, clinicians and patients;

3) International collaboration in knowledge synthesis and transfer: is it worth the effort?

HTAi encourages workshop proposals to align with the overall scientific theme and program for the meeting. Additionally, here is a list of topics that were suggested in workshop evaluations from 2014:

1) text mining and semantic analysis (including an introduction to existing tools/programs);

2) searching for qualitative studies (for qualitative reviews);

3) searching for medical devices;

4) searching for adverse effects data;

5) search filters with examples and other effective approaches to finding the evidence.

The Chair and Chair-Elect of the IRG invite you to submit workshop presentation proposals for topics you would like to present and discuss with other information professionals at next year’s conference. For background, more information on the activities of the IRG is available at: http://www.htai.org/index.php?id=554.
