Subject: question about Life in the UK

Dear Newham ESOL Exchange Member One of our members has contacted me with
the following question. If anyone can help please contact me and I will pass
the information on or put you in touch with her: I am trying to find out
what is acceptable to show as proof address to a Life in the UK test centre.
I have a friend who is here on a spouse visa, he is living with his in-laws
and the only proof of address he has is a medical card and council letters
to show that he is paying rent to his father-in-law. Banks are not accepting
any of these as proof of address and so he can't even open a bank account.
He hasn't got long before his visa expires and so he has to do the Life in
the UK test asap, but the requirements are that he shows some kind of proof
of address. Thanks a lot, Anne CrispCommunity

Dear Colleagues,

Apologies for any cross postings......

Have you ever wondered what you could do if you could have your own radio
show? What you could do with your students if you could broadcast
their/your views and give them a voice? In this day or blogging and
vlogging, social media and digital age ... having your own radio show could
also be an innovative way to intergrate new technology within your
provision. (I know that some of you have been doing it for a while too, the
rest of us just need to catch up innit!!!)

NATECLA London has teamed up with Reel Rebels Radio www.reelrebelsradio.com
to offer this very exciting staff development training opportunity.

120-minute workshops to get to grips
with the basics of running your own radio show.

Learn

·
How to present and structure a radio show

·
How to use basic recording, editing and
broadcasting software

·
Basic editing skills and about what kind of recording/editing
programmes you might use in the classroom including free downloads

More in the enclosed flyer and click here to book your ticket

If you are coming to our regional conference on Saturday you can also book
your space there, workshops are held at the radio station and limited to 4
people per worskhop so that you can really have a go at being on air.

I would strongly suggest you book early to avoid disappointment. (some of
the workshops are already almost full!).

how to join our charity are on this link.
