CALL FOR PAPERS

Couples with Mixed HIV Status: Cross-cultural Perspectives on Serodiscordance

Please see below link for the Call for Papers for a book on serodiscordant intimate relationships in the biomedical era:

https://csrh.arts.unsw.edu.au/newsroom/opinion/call-for-papers-couples-with-mixed-hiv-status-cross-cultural-perspectives-on-serodiscordance/

This exciting book project seeks to go beyond the dominant focus on HIV transmission risk in serodiscordant couples, to instead understand the diverse and socially situated dynamics that shape how serodiscordance is experienced and managed by couples.

We invite papers that explore serodiscordant gay and/or heterosexual couples (including those in polygamous relationships) in a range of cultural and epidemiological settings.

We are especially interested in receiving papers based on empirical research and/or conceptual analysis from all geographic regions. Discussion pieces, personal stories, community perspectives, and critical reviews of the literature are also welcome.

The deadline for submission of outline abstracts is 10 November 2014. Interested authors can contact the editors directly at any time to discuss their proposed submission.

Queries and outline abstracts (300 word maximum) should be e-mailed to Asha Persson: [log in to unmask] and Shana Hughes: [log in to unmask]

Full submissions are due on 15 May 2015.

Please forward to those you feel might be interested in contributing.

Kind regards,

Asha Persson (UNSW) and Shana Hughes (UCSF)
