A fair overview (once sprinkled with the appropriate pinch of salt to take account of the DailyFail)

Subject: Channel 4 Dispatches - Rice, How Safe is our Food
An interesting documentary on arsenic in rice last night on Channel 4 Dispatches. Hopefully it will be on 4OD if you missed it.
Made the interesting point that there are no statutory limits for arsenic content of food, which makes out debates on C4SL's vs SGVs/S4UL's seem a bit trivial !
The lack of limits for foodstuffs must be of some concern in Cornwall, where some major arable farming businesses operate on soils which the BGS classifies as having very high normal background arsenic concentrations.
