Dear colleagues,

Please see information below that the EPSRC have requested we share with our networks.  Please do pass this on to any colleagues that you think may be interested.

Council member appointments at EPSRC

EPSRC is the main UK government agency for funding research and training in engineering and the physical sciences, investing more than £800 million a year in a broad range of subjects - from mathematics to materials science, and from information technology to structural engineering.

EPSRC is committed to a policy of equal opportunities. Appointments to Council and its advisory bodies are made on merit; however, we are keen to obtain greater diversity in membership to reflect the community that we serve primarily by seeking to broaden the pool of applicants for vacancies. Applications from women, disabled people and members of minority ethnic groups, who are currently under-represented on these bodies, are therefore particularly welcomed

EPSRC are now recruiting for Members of our Council. The Secretary of State is seeking to make one appointment from the business sector and three appointments from the academic community.  Further details on these appointments can be found on the EPSRC website at the following address: http://www.epsrc.ac.uk/about/governance/council/councilmemberappointments/

You may also be interested to know that in addition to the above, our sister Councils are also recruiting for Members and details can be found on the Public Appointments site http://publicappointments.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/ for all vacancies or on their individual websites as follows:
