Dear all,

We have just advertised for a Diversity Manager to help us shape and deliver the Society’s new three-year diversity strategy. The diversity strategy will build on achievements already made in advancing diversity within science by a wide range of organisations including the Royal Society and will look to provide leadership on key issues affecting the whole of the scientific community. This is an important role within the Society and will include embedding diversity in the culture and across all the activities of the Royal Society; actively seeking out and promoting accessible and inspiring case studies of Royal Society scientists; and working in partnership with sister Academies, government and other partners to maximise the impact of diversity initiatives across STEMM.

The ideal individual will have a passion for and understanding of equality and diversity issues in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM). They should have excellent planning and administration skills, an ability to write concisely and effectively and to communicate clearly and enthusiastically both internally across the Royal Society and with a broad range of external stakeholders. Experience of managing the successful delivery of activities is essential.

The deadline for applications is 14 December 2014. Interviews will be held w/c 5 January 2015.

If you know anyone who may be interested in applying please do pass this on. Further details on the role and how to apply can be found in the links below:
