The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS) is Australia’s Key Centre of Excellence in Transport and Logistics Research and Education. ITLS undertakes graduate teaching, management development programs, grant and contract research and development in the fields of transport and logistics.

We are currently seeking a Senior Research Analyst to lead the development of mathematical supply chain models on the ARC-funded “Risky Business” project. Reporting to both the Chair in Ports and Maritime Logistics and the Chair in Transport and Logistics Network Modelling, you will:

• effectively process and analyse data to facilitate research project outcomes
• provide timely and effective model development support to the project to achieve research objectives

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• a PhD in a cognate subject (operations research, applied maths, engineering, science, mathematical biology)
• evidence of skills in the development, testing and evaluation of mathematical models
• ability to use statistical and other software to undertake appropriate analysis and develop models

Remuneration package: $97,928 p.a. (which includes a base salary of $82,750 p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
