Dear all,

a first version of the HEP_OSlibs metarpm for CentOS7 is now available for
download from
http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/wlcg/centos7/x86_64/HEP_OSlibs-7.0.0-0.el7.cern.x86_64.rpm
This will be used at CERN for deployment on lxplus7 and related services.

The contents of this initial release have been derived by including all
dependencies from the latest SL6 version, then removing packages that are
no longer available in CERN CentOS7, packages that are already installed
in CERN CentOS7, and packages that are pulled in as dependencies of others
in this metarpm.

This results in a metarpm with 91 packages (46 for x86_64, 45 for x86_32),
which ends up installing 192 packages on a bare CERN CentOS7 node (see the
installation log in the attachment). In particular, 32bit packages have
also been included, as requested during an initial discussion with some
experiments. This can be rediscussed later if everyone prefers to keep
only 64bit packages and remove 32bit packages.

As for the SL6 version, I have created a twiki to document the metarpm:
https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/CentOS7DependencyRPM

The library is available from the WLCG repository and will be uploaded to
linuxsoft/extras too. Note that the library is now called HEP_OSlibs
(without a trailing "_CentOS7") but I changed its number to 7.0.0-0.

Please contact me to request the inclusion of additional packages, or if
you have any other feedback or suggestions.

Andrea
