Here are a few comments: (1) Your fMRI and MRS need to be coregistered - same origin and orientation (2) If you don't want to use MarsBaR and have a coordinate from your fMRI images, you can use create_sphere_image (from the gPPI toolbox) to create a spherical ROI to apply to the MRS data.
