Dear colleagues,
We invite you to a half day workshop on the sharing of research data in public health, due to take place at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine on November 12th.

The workshop will bring together researchers, data managers, funders and publishers to discuss the opportunities and challenges posed by data sharing.  Key topics to be covered include:

- Funder and journal publisher perspectives on the importance of data sharing
- Preparing qualitative and quantitative data for sharing 
- Publishing data in compliance with the PLOS data policy
- Data papers as a new form of publication and the emerging role of data journals 
- Case studies outlining current approaches adopted to share research data
