*Sleep, Medicines and Society*

This one-day conference will be held at Radcliffe House, University of Warwick on Wednesday 5th November 2014, 10am - 4.30pm as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Sciences Week.

This one-day conference aims to bring together scholars and professionals interested in the sociology of pharmaceuticals, sleep and society. The conference has been organised to discuss, debate and critically examine, from a variety of different disciplinary and professional perspectives, the findings of the ERSC Medicated Sleep and Wakefulness Project. Topics that will be discussed include: The science and politics of pharmaceutical regulation; Patient and professional views on prescription hypnotics, The sleep of the nation: Problems and Prospects; Audience reception of media coverage of sleeping pills; and Pharmaceutical enhancements.

Attendance is FREE. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
