SCREEN OBJECTS
Screen Objects is a practice-led investigation of the relationship between events and objects. It takes as its point of departure a 2012 discussion on the list serve –emprye in which Rob Myres provocatively declares that he is ‘currently watching Raiders of the Lost Ark on a baguette’(Myres, 2012). But what is Myres actually proposing by declaring a sandwich to be a screen, and how does this change the way we negotiate the screen as an object in-itself? Expanding on the theoretical framework explored in ‘post screen not displayed’ - James Charlton’s paper for the Post Screen Festival - participants will explore the embedded relationships between data events and ‘screen’ objects.

CURATING ELECTRONIC LITERATURE
How does one go about curating an exhibit or creating an archive of electronic literature?
A hands-on workshop in conceptualizing, selecting, and organizing an exhibit and archive of electronic literature; an introduction to theories of curation involving spatial, audience, aesthetic, and art-object considerations; a discussion of resources and strategies for mounting an exhibit or developing a sustainable archive; a discussion of collateral materials for exhibits like websites, catalogs, signage, handouts, and announcement cards.

ANIMAÇÃO
A animação, enquanto área de intervenção artística, permite incontáveis “receitas” ou modos de fabricação, muitas vezes, dispensando de todo a utilização de um ecrã durante a criação das sequências animadas. Por exemplo, pode-se desenhar e pintar tradicionalmente frames de animação ou pode-se intervir directamente sobre a película do filme. Não existe uma obrigatoriedade da utilização de um ecrã na produção de animação. No entanto, recorre-se por regra à apresentação dos conteúdos animados sobre uma qualquer forma de ecrã, e o mais habitual é a utilização de um suporte vídeo.
