Project description
The VUB “Cypriot
Community Media and Conflict” research programme investigates the role
of
Cypriot community media in relation to conflict in Cyprus, focussing on
the 40
year division of the island. Different research projects within this
general “Cypriot
Community Media and Conflict” research programme focus on particular
aspects of
the relationship between community media and conflict in Cyprus,
although they
all combine the study of community media production processes, the
content these
community media produce and how this content is received by members of
the
general (Cypriot) public. When short-listed, applicants will be
expected to
propose their own research project within the general “Cypriot
Community Media
and Conflict” research programme.
