italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies

 

Colleagues may be interested to know that a special issue of Modern Language Notes in honour of the late Professor Eduardo Saccone (University College Cork, and formerly of the Johns Hopkins University) has recently been published and will be launched Friday, 24 October in the Staff Common Room at University College Cork, from 4.30 to 6.00 p.m. The presentation by Prof. Terence O’Reilly (UCC) and Dr Daragh O’Connell (UCC) will be made in the presence of members of the Saccone family and of the Italian Ambassador, S.E. Giovanni Adorni Braccesi Chiassi. All welcome.

 

The special issue “In Memoriam: Eduardo Saccone (1938–2008)”, MLN 129.3S (2014), edited by Silvia Ross and Mark Chu, includes essays by Eduardo’s former supervisees and colleagues.
