EMIS Web also has a Usual GP name prominently displayed on the 'pts details' bar

As far as I know both S1 and Vision also have the ability to record a 'usual GP' although they don't (from what I've seen in use) seem to display this data item as prominently as EMIS does.

This is coming from sheer ignorance of other systems - or indeed of any
changes in EMIS since 2013.

There is now a contractual obligation for all patients over 75 has a named
accountable GP [1]
Obviously there will need to be a means of displaying the name of the named
accountable GP when the patient's record is called up - and presumably some
method of seeing which patients - and how many of them - have been assigned
to which GP.
How are the different systems managing this?
Patients are *registered* with the practice - even though Exeter doesn't
seem to have caught up with this as yet - and only GP principals ought to
show on the system as having registered patients.
Since non-principals will also be 'named accountable GPs', it looks as
though changing the registration status won't be an option.
EMIS LV had a "usual GP" function (I do not know whether this worked for
salaried GPs).
I have no information on any other system.

Can anyone help?

[1]The named accountable GP will take lead responsibility for ensuring that
all
appropriate services required under the contract are delivered to each of
their
patients aged 75 and over, where required (based on the clinical judgement
of the
named accountable GP) they will:
* work with relevant associated health and social care professionals to
deliver a
multi-disciplinary care package that meets the needs of the patient
* ensure that the physical and psychological needs of the patient are
recognised
and responded to by the relevant clinician in the practice
* ensure the patient aged 75 years and over has access to a health check as
set
out in section 7.9 of the GMS Contract Regulations
