Share Academy would like to invite colleagues from the museums and Higher Education sectors to a networking event at The Old Crown, New Oxford Street, London. This is an opportunity to hear from some of the project participants; meet some of the museums, academics, and students involved; and hopefully develop new friendships between the museum and Higher Education sectors.
Share Academy is a partnership
project between University College London, University of the Arts London, and
London Museums Group - funded by Arts Council England (ACE). It aims to develop
and foster relationships between specialist London museums and academics.
The current Share Academy
programme is established on the research undertaken in the pilot project
(October 2013 – March 2013). Share Academy in its current guise has been funded
by ACE for two years from April 2013. Currently Share Academy has funded 15
projects to help establish best practice and produce guidance for the museum
and Higher Education sectors, providing each with a budget of up to
£10,000.

Wednesday 15 October 2014: 6.30pm for a 7pm start
The Old Crown Public House, 33 New Oxford Street, London, WC1A 1BH
An evening of Share Academy presentations, conversations, and networking.
You are invited to join us in an evening at The Old Crown for an informal gathering of those involved or interested in the Share Academy programme; and those interested in building networks between Higher
Education, museums, and cultural heritage sectors. There will be opportunities for discussion, networking, and a few presentations from Share Academy funded projects.
The key aim of this event is to provide an opportunity for Share Academy funded project partners to meet, discuss their ideas, and share their interests with likeminded people from the higher education, museum, and cultural heritage sectors.
We’ve put some money behind the bar so drinks and nibbles will be provided. Please join us from 6.30pm – late (presentations form 7pm until 9pm) on Wednesday 15 October 2014. The bar will
remain open after this time – in case you would like to continue chatting!
If you’d like to make a short presentation on the night just let Chloe (Share Academy Administrator) know by emailing
[log in to unmask].
