Hello,
I seem to have successfully loaded WinBugs (running Windows 7, 64-bit computer), although, it still does not show up in programs from the Windows menu (even though the unzipped folder is in my Programs folder). The software opens, and I have loaded the everlasting key and patches.

I am using WinBugs, as a publication has provided R code that makes use of the software. I have been running the R code successfully, until I reach a point where the code tries to fit a model in WinBugs. When I run the code, I get the following error in R:
Error in file(con, "rb") : cannot open the connection In addition: Warning message: In file(con, "rb") : cannot open file 'c:/Program Files/WinBUGS14//System/Rsrc/Registry.odc': No such file or directory Error in bugs.run(n.burnin, bugs.directory, WINE = WINE, useWINE = useWINE, : WinBUGS executable does not exist in c:/Program Files/WinBUGS14/
I am new to using WinBugs, but I was wondering whether this is an issue with the interface, or an issue with the way I have loaded the software (because it's not able to find the director). The directory C:/Program Files/WinBUGS14//System/Rsrc/Registry.odc does exist (not sure why there are two forward slashes in some instances, though). If anyone has come across this issue, or understands the issue, I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Cheers,
Kris
