Dates for all courses for up to July 2015 can be found on our website<http://www.ucl.ac.uk/stats-courses>. 27 October Introduction to multilevel analysis with R<http://www.ucl.ac.uk/ich/education-ich/statistical-courses/future-courses> - 10am to 4.30pm - £150 The aim of this hands-on workshop is to provide an introduction to multilevel research design and data analysis using the R statistical environment. This workshop will enable participants to (a) develop an understanding of multilevel research and appreciate the potential of multilevel modelling for theory development (b) better understand published research that uses multilevel techniques (c) use the R statistical environment to analyse their own multilevel models (via libraries: nlme and lme4) The workshop is intended for anyone interested in data analysis of multilevel data (e.g. school-classroom-student or hospital-ward-patient). Prior knowledge of R and basic statistical techniques (primarily linear regression) are required. Attendees can either bring their own laptops (with R installed) or use the computers provided. Please note that interested parties can only register via the UCL onlinestore<http://onlinestore.ucl.ac.uk/browse/extra_info.asp?compid=1&modid=2&deptid=81&catid=86&prodid=559> (each course has to be registered separately).
