Dear Colleague

We’re delighted to be receiving lots of bookings from prospective PhD students to attend the PostgraduateStudentships PhD Funding Fairs 2014, taking place on 4th December in Central London and 10th December in Leeds City Centre. The Fairs will bring together over 25 of the UK's top quality Universities, all with specific PhD funding to offer, and looking for the best students. Current PhD students will also be available to chat to in our unique Peer to Peer Student Advice Room and there will be a programme of talks.

Please do spread the word about this great opportunity which will be of interest to students considering PhD study and are looking for or may be concerned about funding. We have postcards available if you would like some to distribute. Academics and administrators can also point their final year and Masters students to our special PhD Funding Fairs webpages - http://www.postgraduatestudentships.co.uk/phd-funding-fairs-2014 - to find further details about the Fairs and apply to attend.

As these are specialist Fairs, and there are limited spaces at each one, students will need to apply, and be accepted, in order to attend one of the Fairs. Places at each Fair are free for those invited to attend. We would encourage students to book early to avoid disappointment.

These Fairs are for students who:

- are looking to study for a PhD in 2015, with funding, at one of the UK's top Universities

- already have, or expect to get, a 2:1 or first, or equivalent at undergraduate degree level AND/OR a merit or distinction in a Masters degree

The Fairs are each divided into two subject Sessions. The Morning Session at each Fair will cover PhD funding in the Arts and Humanities, Law, Management and Social Sciences. The Afternoon Session at each Fair will cover PhD funding across the range of Science and Engineering subjects. Participating Universities at each Fair will have specialist staff available to talk about funding that is already available, and funding to be announced, and how to apply for a PhD.
