Description: Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust is a large University of Manchester Teaching Trust, which has recently been named “Trust of the Year for the North of England” by Dr Foster intelligence and as the highest scoring trust for staff satisfaction in England. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Clinical Scientist (with relevant experience and FRCPath part 1) to join our dedicated team providing a biochemistry service to Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (SRFT) and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust (WWLFT) as part of the Pathology at Wigan and Salford (PAWS) service. 

The Clinical Biochemistry department provides a comprehensive and wide ranging analytical, interpretative and clinical advisory service which includes regional toxicology, porphyria and specialist endocrinology services. The laboratories are undergoing replacement automated analysers in the near future and are also equipped with an Immulite XPi immunoassay analyser, two Waters Tandem Mass Spectrometers and a Varian Atomic Absorption system.
