Of course a good real collection is the best - but as said in my ICAZ paper, the vast majority of universities and other easily accessible organisations actually have very few, and even personal dedicated collections will not have all, or large sizes etc etc. Also, those only just starting, or not wishing to specialise, or not having money or room to produce, will need other resources - but I know I am preaching to the converted here!

it is 120 MB

But there is absolutely no substitute for a well organised comparative collection

Dear all,

I am doing the research on one site in Hainan Island, China. This site is very close to South Sea, Pacific Ocean.

In this sites, lots of marine fishes have been found. Last time, some scholars gave me some good advice. This time, I found more bones belong to marine fishes. Some of them belong to wrasse and parrotfish, but the others I can not idenfied. Could you help me? And, please give me some advice about identify marine fishes, eg. Some books.
