The College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks 
applications to fill the faculty position of Ohio Eminent Scholar. The 
successful applicant for this fully endowed chair will be an 
internationally recognized scientist in the general area of 
*experimental physical chemistry*. Individuals with research interests 
in optical spectroscopy or another topical area of experimental physical 
chemistry are encouraged to apply. The quality of the research, the 
promise for future accomplishments, and a track record of collaborations 
with scientists in other fields will be of primary importance. The Ohio 
State University is in the process of a major expansion into discovery 
themes (http://discovery.osu.edu) with the plan to add 500 faculty over 
the next 10 years, which will provide attractive opportunities for 
establishing collaborations across campus. The successful applicant will 
be provided with a very competitive salary, generous start-up funding 
for equipment and personnel, and an on-going operating budget provided 
by the endowment.
