Hi,

Can I please advertise a short course in health economics (see below),
which is taking place at Brunel University, London, in November.

Thanks

Gabby

The Health Economics Research Group at Brunel University is running its
next three-day short course on *Economic Evaluation in Health Care* on
21-23 May 2014.
*Who is it for?*
This well-known and popular course provides a stimulating but friendly
introduction to economic evaluation in health. It is designed for people
working in health care, with an interest but no training in economics.
Participants include managers, clinicians, policy-makers, medical writers
and researchers from a wide range of commercial, public sector and academic
organisations.
*Content of the course*
By the end of the course participants will have an understanding of how
economic evaluation can be used to appraise health care interventions and
to inform decision-making. It covers essential theory and methods: how to
cost health services, how to assess health outcomes, the role of decision
modelling, and how to interpret results. The course is run by experts from
HERG, and teaching combines short presentations with facilitated small
group work and opportunities for one-to-one discussions with the faculty.
A very popular element of the course is the final day, design exercise, in
which participants work together to apply what they have learnt to their
own areas of interest. http://www.brunel.ac.uk/herg/short-course
