I don’t know anyone, but had a mother with Alzheimer's and now a fried. I think this service you are offering is wonderful, and shows the strength, talent and innovation of public libraries

Thanks you

Subject: Reminiscence work for people living with dementia

Like most other library authorities, we offer reminiscence packs that can be used by people living with dementia. What we have been working on more recently, are sessions for people living with dementia and their carers. In the sessions our focus is reminiscence work with a heavy emphasis on using the resources from our Local Studies Library.

We know that there are other library authorities out there with expertise in this area. What we are trying to find is training for our staff on reminiscence work, ideally from a provider within easy reach of Derby. Can anyone help? We have already received dementia awareness training. It is specifically reminiscence training in which we are interested.

Kind regards
