I would say that it is heartening only up to a point, Margaret. Without wishing to take away anything from our colleague's achievement, which is outstanding, the article shows once
again that with financial resources, support from management and a highly controlled intake, private schools can accomplish great things, even in our subject, for the tiny minority whose parents can pay the fees. I applaud Sara Davidson, but if I passed her
story on to school teachers in the Wales German Network, as I was initially planning to do before I checked it, they would stop taking me seriously.
