RE: Low level listening materials

I use a mixture of the suggested materials but tend to also create quite a few of my own. They end up being 'semi-authentic' I suppose but can be really useful if you need to work on specific skills. I get colleagues/friends to help out too if they have time! I've recorded lots of names/addresses/telephone numbers recently etc for learners to practise on their own on our Moodle course and also things like answer phone messages which come up in assessments. Then at least you can make them appropriate to your context.

http://www.real-english.com/ has some good, authentic listenings (albeit
with a North American flavour).
