Subj: The Green Democratic Reboot

Dear readers,
we would like to draw your attention to a new publication by our partners
from the Green European Foundation.
The European elections of May this year highlighted a number of trends in
politics across the EU, including low turnout and a rise in support for
eurosceptic and far-right parties. These trends have fuelled the idea that
European democracy is in crisis, with increasing numbers disengaging from it.

Starting from the conviction that this democratic crisis is inherently
bound up with the environmental crisis, and the failure of political leaders
to formulate a long-term vision for a sustainable future, this _edition of
the Green European Journal_
(http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=P3r7.&m=3dpfzO3405e3Fj_&b=P.5JauqJISNvsL9VwJ3p0w) seeks to identify the root causes of
this malaise, and set out an alternative way forward based on a more
participatory form of citizenship.
