Hello everyone-

I am new to my librarian role and the Fashion subject area is new to this role! I was hoping someone might be able to help me with regards to a research request from a fashion lecturer.

The lecturer is researching ‘the illustrated fashionable body’ and how a fashionable body is communicated through fashion illustrations across the globe and throughout history.

She specifically seeks information about how:  I might go about gaining access to fashion publications in such countries as India, China, Japan and those African countries which have a commercial fashion culture.’

We have access to some fashion databases but most of what I have found has an emphasis on European and American fashion. I was wondering with regards to help in accessing resources from countries outside of the USA and Europe.

Kind regards,

Katherine Stephan
