Herald History: Castle man kept old Tamworth in the picture | Tamworth Herald Although not a native of Tamworth – he lived in Burton-upon-Trent – Richard worked at the Castle for 22 years and grew to know the town intimately, mainly through the photographic archive he established at the Holloway Lodge study centre. Locked away in his historic bolt hole, Richard not only gathered together thousands of precious images that may otherwise have been lost, he painstakingly researched and catalogued the collection so that important information could be passed down to future generations.
