Peter Cosgrove targeted in National Archives trawl

The National Archives of Australia has begun restricting access to historical military files after requests for information about the Governor-General's days as a Duntroon cadet.

Sources say Sir Peter Cosgrove's records at the Royal Military College for the years 1965-68 have been sought.

They believe the requests were a trawling exercise looking for information about bullying at the RMC, which was the subject of two inquiries in the 1960s and 1980s.
