he newly established Computational Cancer Genomics Group, headed by Dr. Javier Herrero, is seeking a Research Associate to provide biostatistics support and expertise to the institute. The group occupies the newly built Bill Lyons Informatics Centre located on the 6th floor of the Paul O'Gorman building (www.ucl.ac.uk/cancer/blic). In addition to providing bioinformatics support to the institute, the group will establish novel lines of research in computational genomics for the functional interpretation of somatic variants.

  

 

  

The successful candidate will contribute statistical expertise to the design of studies and analysis of data generated from projects in the Cancer Institute. These include cancer classification, personal genomics, biomarker analysis and clinical trials among others. You will be using resequencing (targeted and whole-genome), RNA-seq and ChIP-seq data for these analyses.

  

 

  

The position is available until 31st of May 2017 in the first instance and is funded by Cancer Research UK.
