The Department of Medical Statistics, LSHTM, wishes to appoint a statistician, mainly to work on the statistical analysis of results from major clinical trials and epidemiological studies. Much of this research relates to cardiovascular diseases, but available projects also cover a wide range of other medical topics. In addition there will be the opportunity to collaborate in methodological research and study design. Teaching of postgraduate students would also be expected.

The successful applicant requires an aptitude for both applied and methodological research, good communication skills and statistical computing experience. An MSc in statistics or equivalent is essential and past experience of clinical trials and/or epidemiological research is desirable.

The appointment is London-based and available immediately and is currently funded for 2 years with the possibility of further extension. The salary will be on the School’s Research Fellow Grade, currently £37,106- £42,139 per annum inclusive.
