I note that this is a NICE Pathway which, according to their website, 'brings together all NICE guidance, quality standards and materials to support implementation on a specific topic area'. This could help explain why it might not have undergone the same rigorous process as Guidance does. It may also explain why it is difficult to find who has been involved in the writing.

However, it certainly needs amended.

Best wishes
Eric

I have written to NICE about this issue, and I suggest that others should also consider doing so.

Best wishes

Dear All

You will be surprised to see that the attached guidance from NICE refers to HbA1c as % - viz DCCT measurement. After we have worked hard to change to IFCC mmol/mol - amazing!

This has led to a local diabetologist requesting we revert to DCCT reporting!
