The problem is that there is one plane by day and probably, by now, the entire plane is booked. It is not small but here, to have cheap options, you have to buy your tickets many months in advance. So probably all the locals (like me) have done it . My recommendation is going to Mendoza (more flights , you have there LAN and Aerolíneas) and take a bus. If you can reunite 4 people, you can also rent a car with driver, (we call it remise). More expensive but it allows you not to depend on the bus schedule. Pam, you manage to avoid Buenos Aires, but your travel seems pretty nightmarish!!!
