Dear Diego

Myself and Tanya Serisier wrote something on this published in Surveillance & Society in 2010 for the Australian context

Video Surveillance and the Ambiguities of counter-surveillance, 8(2): 166-186.

Luis Fernandez (2009) Policing Dissent: Social Control and the Anti-Globalization Movement, Rutgers University Press is also very useful on the North American context.

Best wishes

Dean

Subject: References on Surveillance and Protests

Hi,

I'm a brazilian PhD candidate in Sociology and I am currently developing a research on the uses of surveillance for monitoring and identifying people's involvement on the recent protests, specially in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Curitiba.

I was wandering if anyone had any suggestions on literature about surveillance and protests that may be helpful.

Thank you very much.
Best
