Holocaust memorial Day 2015

For HMD 2015 we are asking you to Keep the memory alive by exploring and sharing the powerful stories of survivors in a year that marks two important anniversaries - the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, Bosnia. As you know your activity can be as small or as big as you wish, you may wish to join with other organisations to mark the day, you may wish to participate in an activity, and that you are not beholden to have your activity on Tuesday 27 January 2015.

Please see below some handy links on the HMD website:

http://www.hmd.org.uk/campaign-pack

The pack will be launched Monday 15 September however this does not stop you from placing your order now. I am in the process of trying to establish what will be available in the Welsh language, however there are already some life stories translated.

As usual HMD have some amazing FREE resources and have highlighted some life stories pertinent for the 2015 theme of Keeping the memory alive.

This is the link that will take you to the web page that will have all the events advertised. The Trust are holding a workshop on Tuesday 7 October 2014 at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff to help to explore the theme of Keeping the memory alive. To book on please email [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or calling 020 7785 7029. Please note there are a limited number of places.

Once you have decided that you would like to hold an activity please click on the link above and complete the form and / or email me and we will advertise the activity on the website. Do not worry if your activity is closed to the general public, as this can be stated. The important part is that we have a comprehensive overview of all the excellent work being done in Wales.

Should you need any further information, guidance or support please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Diolch / Thanks
