Subject: JOB: research fellow (systematic reviewer) at NCC-WCH, London (fixed-term for 12 months)

Research Fellow
12 months fixed-term
Salary £34,079 to £34,735 per annum plus benefits
The National Collaborating Centre for Women’s and Children’s Health (NCC-WCH) is a multi-disciplinary, health services research team. It is part of the Quality and Knowledge Directorate of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) who are commissioned by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to produce evidence-based clinical guidelines for the NHS in England and Wales.
This is an opportunity for a researcher who wants to further develop their systematic reviewing skills over a wide range of study designs in the context of developing NICE clinical guidelines. Supervised by a senior member of the technical development team you will contribute to all aspects of the systematic reviewing process and conduct complex analysis. A relevant postgraduate qualification (for example, an MSc or PhD in health services research, epidemiology, or medical statistics) or a medical degree with experience or aptitude for health services research, and experience of systematic reviewing with excellent quantitative skills and experience of meta-analysis are essential for this post. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in: conducting network meta-analysis; synthesising research evidence into concise reports; and applying GRADE methodology.
The College is a membership organisation concerned with standards of training and education in the medical specialty of obstetrics and gynaecology. Located in pleasant offices overlooking Regent’s Park, the College offers an excellent and friendly working environment with a package that includes flexible working hours, subsidised gym membership, season ticket loan, first class pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement.
