Apologies for cross posting

Welcome back to the first new theme after a brief vacation.  This month we are looking at issues of gender and animation, from industrial practises re division of labour; representation of gender, sexuality and identity to the inclusion of feminist theory in the classroom.

We kick off this theme with a post from Bella Honess Roe reflecting on recent student discussions on the potential harm of Disney Princesses.

Please feel free to comment.

Thanks go to this month’s guest curators Alison Loader and Amy Ratelle.  The full details of the CFP are here - please note that this theme will be revisited in December so if you are inspired to write a post or want to reply to something specific, you can contact us during this month.

Please contact me if you have any questions about themes or the blog in general.
