Hello Colleagues,

Please can anyone suggest information resources which would be
particularly useful for new NHS nursing staff from the EU?

We have a group of new nurses recruited from Spain who will be starting
with us in September.

One of our senior nurses has just booked them in for a library
induction. Apparently they have asked her about reading resources to
prepare before they start - I would be very grateful for any
suggestions.

We already have some books for newly-qualified nurses. If you know of
any which have been particularly helpful for similar recruits, we could
flag up the ones we already have, or there is (just) time to buy in new
titles.

I am aware of the Nursing Careers pages on the NHS Careers website
http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/explore-by-career/nursing/

Also, if there is any information about resources which Spanish nurses
may already be familiar with (other than PubMed), or nurse training in
Spain and how their system differs from ours, that would be very useful
for my own preparation.

Thanks,

Helen
