Many people watch TV soaps, and now the longest running soap (Coronation Street) is featuring the local library and the campaign to save it.
Guest blog post article by Dr Anoush Simon (Aberystwyth University) discussing the relevance and importance of this:
http://libalyson.wordpress.com/2014/08/07/tv-soaps-libraries-and-public-debate-guest-post/

And on the same day I spotted the OFCOM media report which notes that the average UK person watches 3.9 hrs of TV a day (http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/market-data-research/market-data/communications-market-reports/cmr14/uk/).
With over 6.5million viewers of Corrie (http://www.barb.co.uk/whats-new/weekly-top-10? ), that's a lot of people learning about the library message
