Hi Chris,
You still need to know the depth of the archaeology as the shallow ballast is usually anywhere between c.200 – 400mm. And you still need to take into account the location and extent of any associated cabling,
inverter/transformer kiosks etc. However, many of our recent farms have run the cabling between each panel above ground leaving a single underground run to the kiosks - normally parallel to and within any new tracks.
