Dear all

 

We are looking for an experienced qualitative research assistant to work on a NIHR Research for Patient Benefit funded project. The researcher will form part of a multidisciplinary team studying the treatment and cause of a growth disorder called Russell-Silver syndrome, and exploring people’s experiences of living with the condition. 

The research will involve: an analysis of current literature; recruiting participants; undertaking in-depth interviews about their illness experience; analysing data; and reporting results. The researcher will work closely with the clinical researcher (in post) and the research team, which comprises clinical academics, clinicians and social scientists and the research is being undertaken in collaboration with the University of Southampton. 

You will need to be educated to master’s degree level or have equivalent qualifications or experience in social research. Knowledge and experience of qualitative research, working as part of a team, and willingness to travel are essential.
