Hi,
In 2012 the CMOs wrote to all GPs recommending routine vitamin D supplementation for all over 65’s, under 5’s, and pregnant women. How this was to be paid for was entirely unclear – the letter says that NHS organisations can sell, provide
free, or prescribe the supplements, or encourage patients to buy their own. Does anybody know of any GPs who have actually adopted this and, if so, how is the cost met?
Thanks,
