Actually someone did do something several years ago, namely adding a requirement like TotalJobs < MaxTotalJobs. However it looks like Liverpool hasn't set a limit, it publishes the 999999999 default. It isn't totally robust because there's some delay before the BDII updates so if the jobs are submitted fast enough they could get through it before it updates, but it probably takes a fair while to submit 25k jobs. In any case if it's a real limit in the batch system the jobs will be rejected on submission. Stephen -- Scanned by iCritical.
