Dear David, the default interleaved acquisition scheme on Siemens scanners is foot to head and depends on the number of slices: - in case of an even number: 2 4 6 ... 1 3 5 ... - in case of an odd number: 1 3 5 ... 2 4 6 ... There might also be some vector in each of the DICOM files indicating the acquisition times of the different slices, see https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind1005&L=SPM&D=0&P=505716 .
