Subject: Overhead clearance requirements for double decker buses

Hi all,

I have had a query relating to the clearance requirements for overhead structures like shop verandas at bus stops when double-decker buses are used. As the bus pulls into the stop, its front corner can cross the kerb. The encroachment on the top deck can potentially be exacerbated by dynamic effects from vehicle body roll and pitch as well as the camber of the road.

Do anyone have any information of the setback requirements for overhead structures at bus stops in their countries where double-decker buses are operating?

Any information or suggestions for where to find information would be appreciated.

Regards,

John de Pont
